Putt Like A Pro
I love golf fittings. I love the process. Maybe I’m a bit of a gearhead, but spending a few hours outside on a range hitting golf balls tracked by Trackman is my idea of a good time. It definitely beats staring at my computer. I’ve been fit several times. And each time I come away with the confidence knowing this set of clubs is custom for me. My swing, my swing flaws, uniquely for me. Golf clubs are an extension of your arms, they should feel like part of you. And when they do, you play better. The funny thing...
Putting Tip #2 - Reading The Green
Everyone needs to improve their short game, and one key area that can help with that is, reading the green. You have all seen it, a guy takes a few steps back, maybe scrunches down for a few seconds, and then pops right up and proceeds to miss the putt by 5 feet. Why? Well it's pretty obvious, we didn't read the green correctly. Misreading a green happens all the time, and we aren't going to lie and say that it's easy or anything, but here are a few tips that might help. Read the green before you even reach...

Choosing The Right Putter - Putter Balance
This is a very important topic to discuss when selecting the right putter, Putter Balance. Many people make the claim when selecting a putter, "just go with what feels good." While the statement is completely false, you need to know why it "feels good." Usually the basic feel of a putter is based on it's balance. Putters are weighted differently to suit different types of stroke. If you have a conventional open-square-closed stroke, then you should be choosing a putter which is toe weighted. If, on the other hand you are trying to achieve a straight back and straight through...
It gets interesting at this year's 2015 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
The 2015 PGA Championship, will be the 97th time the tournament is played and the third time it will visit Whistling Straits, Wisconsin. Along with The Masters, US Open and Open Championship, the PGA Championship is one of four major tournaments played throughout the season.
A number of different courses have hosted the event over the years, with many doing so regularly. Whistling Straits also held the PGA Championship in 2004 and 2010. Interestingly, both of those tournaments required a play-off to find the eventual winner. Having only been played at Whistling Straits twice, there is yet to be an American winner of the PGA Championship on the course, with Vijay Singh and Martin Kaymer winning the previous two.
Defending the PGA Championship in 2015, will be Rory McIlroy. Having won the event twice, the world number one will feel confident of becoming the first player since Tiger Woods in 2007, to retain the title. Following his victory at The Masters, Jordan Spieth could become the first American player to win the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
